Rolfe Schmidt is founder and Academic Director of the Campersand summer camp and former Academic Director at Epsilon Camp. He has over 20 years of experience in the software industry where he has worked on projects ranging from proteomic data science to digital currency. He has an M.A. in Mathematics from Princeton University and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
Burton Newman has 10+ years of university teaching experience and has worked with gifted students both as an instructor at math camps such as Campersand, PROMYS and SIG. He works as an online teacher and mentor to gifted students across the country. He received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Southern California and held a postdoc in the Computer Science department.
